John Carlton’s Action Seminar January 2010

The world’s greatest living copywriter, John Carlton, has announced that he is hosting a seminar DEDICATED to helping entrepreneurs and small business owners put together an Action Plan for the coming year. Why?

John believes that we are on the cusp of a period of unprecedented opportunity.

The economy is about to open up like a long-hidden gold mine whose entrance just got uncovered by an earthquake.

History shows that the brief “opportunity windows” following hobbling recessions are where fortunes are made.

John has assembled a hugely impressive team of educators – not the ‘salespeople’ who turn up time and again at internet marketing events – these guys actually practise their craft.  They include:

John Carlton (worth every penny just to hear him speak)

Mike Koenigs

James Schramko (John thinks “Schrakmo” is more interesting!)

Melanie Benson Strick

Teran Dale

Jimmy Vee and Travis Miller

Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero

Stan Dahl

And the many of John’s stable of top copywriters.

This is one event NOT to be missed – quality all the way! Find out more now, about John Carlton’s Action Seminar in 2010 – places ARE limited.

Travis Miller

Travis MillerTravis Miller is recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts on attracting customers and creating businesses that are ESP—Enjoyable, Simple & Prosperous. In addition to his book, Gravitational Marketing: The Science of Attracting Customers, he has co-authored dozens of published business and marketing related articles, white papers and special reports.

Miller is the co-creator of Gravitational Marketing—a powerful concept that shows business owners, entrepreneurs and sales professionals how to naturally attract a steady stream of qualified prospects who pay, stay and refer.

Called the “The Big Idea Guy” (partly due to the juxtaposition of contrasting size with his 5-foot high cohort, but primarily because of his rare strategic vision and critical development ability) Miller is a serial entrepreneur and has used his own strategies to build a multi-million dollar business from scratch in six months.

Although traditionally educated (B.A. in radio/television and M.A. in corporate communication and technology) Miller believes it’s his on-the-street experience as an advertising sales rep turned agency executive combined with his entrepreneurial spirit that gives him the ability to conjure ideas and solutions that turn failing businesses around and super-charge already successful endeavors.

Miller and his business partner (and former college roommate) Jimmy Vee have spent over 96 million dollars in marketing and have generated over 12 billion dollars in sales for their clients. Miller attributes the success of his campaigns to his ability to get inside the heads of the customers and speak to them in a language that resonates with their deepest desires. Some people think Travis is a funny guy, but he prefers to think of himself as a seasoned musician and self-taught chef.

Miller is best known for his uncanny ability to dissect complicated business and marketing challenges into easily workable solutions and to create long-range strategic plans that deliver immediate results and sustainable profit.

Travis Miller believes there is no problem in life or in business that can’t be overcome with the proper combination of creativity, flexibility and tenacity. Miller’s marketing campaigns have been seen and heard in almost every major market in the country and he has been behind some of the most recognizable local-market campaigns in the past decade.

Miller lives in Orlando, Florida with his wife Jennifer and baby girl named Ella. His favorite hobbies include cooking for friends and family, attempting to ski, strumming his guitar and traveling (for pleasure) as frequently as possible.

Dean Hunt, Buzz Marketer

dean-huntLike many internet marketers, Dean Hunt was on a totally different career path before destiny seized his unique offline social networking style, and steered him towards his present Buzz Marketing Expert status.

From a very young age Dean had his sights set on becoming a pro golfer. But in 2002, when he was just 20 years old and a semi-pro, an injury to his knee changed the universe as he knew it.

Dean has a wicked sense of humor, and stands out in a crowd, so when he began writing about the things that interested him, he found others enjoyed it as well. So he built on these relationships. He found that the more controversial or quirky the post, the more attention it received, and the more its link was shared.

By 2005, recognizing that creating such interest was a skill that could be leveraged by internet marketers, Dean had further explored the concept and used his inherent creativity to build upon it.

Working 12 hour days over many months, studying the nuances of internet marketing, the result was Dean’s creation of his highly acclaimed Buzz Profits membership site. Here he mentors a growing number of students on how, by thinking outside the norm, doing the opposite to what people expect, you can create a groundswell of traffic.

While recognizing the need to understand how to do things yourself, Dean believes in outsourcing wherever possible. Getting others to do the things that you are not good at, or which are time consuming, frees up your time to do the things that make you money. If you are creative, be creative; if you aren’t get others to be creative on your behalf. Putting a real value on your time is vital if others are to value it.

Despite being serious about his business, Dean Hunt takes an impossibly humorous approach to life, one that infects those around him (TWSS). He makes his readers laugh out loud and his onsite and onstage antics can be side splitting.

With over 31,000 followers on Twitter, and 1500 Facebook friends, and an active presence on other social networking sites, Dean practises his buzz marketing techniques as a way of life. Using such strategies he has conducted numerous viral marketing campaigns, one of which resulted in more than 240,000 unique visitors to his blog in 21 days.

Through his live presentations, he shares tips and techniques with both aspiring and experienced internet marketers. He works hard to maintain his position at the cutting edge of Buzzology (don’t bother searching, the name is taken!).

Dean Hunt’s free report “Web Traffic Orgasm” is arguably as good as its title suggests (!)

Jimmy Vee

Jimmy VeeJimmy Vee is recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts on attracting customers and creating businesses that are ESP—Enjoyable, Simple & Prosperous. In addition to his book, Gravitational Marketing: The Science of Attracting Customers, he has co-authored dozens of published business and marketing related articles, white paper and special reports.

Vee is the co-creator of Gravitational Marketing—a powerful concept that shows business owners, entrepreneurs and sales professionals how to naturally attract a steady stream of qualified prospects who pay, stay and refer.

Dubbed the “Five Foot High Marketing Guy” because of his short stature and big results, Vee is a serial entrepreneur and has used his own strategies to build a multi-million dollar business from scratch in six months.

Although traditionally educated (B.A. in advertising and public relations and M.A. in organizational management) Jimmy Vee believes it’s his real world education that gives him the ability to re-invent people’s businesses through effective marketing and fresh, fun ideas.

Jimmy and his business partner (and former college roommate) Travis Miller have spent over 96 million dollars in marketing and have created over 10 billion dollars in sales for their clients. Vee says the secret to his success is the use of inspiring child-like curiosity through his marketing campaigns. Vee draws this creative energy from being an accomplished magician, ventriloquist and improv comedian.

Vee is well known for creative concepts and copywriting style that engage consumers and elicit rapid response. He believes that there is no creative challenge that cannot be solved in a fresh, entertaining and fun way. Vee’s marketing campaigns have been seen and heard in almost every major market in the country and he is one of the top direct response copywriters in the country.

Vee is married to Christy Sue and has a baby girl named Autumn. They live in Orlando, Florida with their two dogs Bella (Aussie) and Oedipus (Whippet). He enjoys hiking, snowboarding, playing jazz on his trumpet and listening to jazz music.

Day 2 Unlimited Power Online Dubai

Numbers for Day 2 of UPO were noticeably less than yesterday’s, and began behind schedule.  It was suprising then that the organizers devoted almost an hour to non-speaker ‘infomercials’ – for Dubai itself and for some of the companies that contributed to the event.  Sadly this put the event behind time right from the get go, something that would unsettle less experienced speakers but which for this Day 2 group was just ‘detail’.

Internationally respected copywriter, Harlan Kilstein sauntered onto the stage and quickly established his credentials – no messing about. He is good at what he does, people pay him a lot of money for copywriting, and he can teach you how to be a successful copywriter too.  Do this and you can (a) work as a copywriter for others (b) writer your own internet marketing copy, or (c) do both.

Kilstein is a NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) specialist and is a master at incorporating ‘triggers’ into his copy that elicit the ‘buy’ response.  He shared some really impressive tips with the audience and showed just how gifted he is.

For most people, internet marketing is the way of the future, and it may be the way for you, too. If you plan to take this course, then you will have to learn the ropes because good internet marketing skills will be crucial to your business’ success.

Of course, there are numerous ways to learn about internet marketing. There are books, marketing blogs and articles, videos, workshops and the like. What you choose to use depends on you. One popular method that most marketers use is by attending internet marketing events and seminars.

There are many things that you can learn by attending internet marketing events that you won’t find or learn through books or resources online. This is because you get to meet different people during the seminar, and you learn from them. You get to pick up ideas not only from the marketing experts or speakers, but you also get to compare notes with those who are starting out just as you are, along with those who have already found success.

Most internet marketing seminars and workshops will last for a couple of days. There are some one-day seminars, but these mostly focus on only one piece of the IM puzzle – it is better to go to those that last two or three days.

As much as possible, you should do some research about the internet marketing event that you’re planning to join. Where is it held, who will be the speaker/s, are there special topics that you can learn from and relate to? Knowing this information also helps you understand just who the speakers are. Researching the speakers is also essential because it will help you sort out the genuine can-do, does-do speaker, from the once-did ‘performer’.

You will be exposed to plenty of information on internet marketing during the seminar – and you can easily lose track if you come in completely blind. It is best to read on about internet marketing beforehand – not in-depth necessarily, but try to get the general idea and pick up some of the language that may be used.

This reading is supplemental that will help put things into a much better perspective for you.

The last thing to consider is the price of the internet marketing event. You may have to pay to attend, especially educational training workshops. Some seminars are free, but speakers are usually going to ‘sell’ you a training program.

Choose one that fits within your budget, and don’t every buy on impulse – that speaker with the entertaining sales pitch, may be just that – an entertainer who has others do his or her follow up training. If you want to learn from an expert, that’s who you need to sign up with – do your research before handing over your credit card!
