Interesting post. I've gone ahead and bookmarked http://www.internetbusinessevents.com/the-search-exchange-conference-may-2010 at Digg.com so my friends can see it too. I used your title: Search engine optimization conference Charlotte | Internet Business Events as the entry title in my Digg.com bookmark, as I figured you would probably want it bookmarked that way. I hope you have time to visit my site internet marketing. Cheers.

Stephen,
I think the most important element to SEO is getting your keywords right and using them properly (and not excessively). Use a lot of different strategies - article marketing, video marketing, blog posts, forum contributions - but always ensure you use your keyword. Have a call to action as well - actually tell people what to do next. This will help with getting links and traffic - which all of the search engines love.

Susan,
You really need to do some homework before signing up for anything. Research the person offering the training/program. If no name is associated with it - forget it. If search engine results reveal complaints or repeated refund requests - avoid them. See what other people are saying about them, go to their websites - see if they are offering free, worthwhile advice, or just making 'sales' posts. The genuine article should show itself!

Hi Carol,
I think most IM experts are resigned to the fact that they will be copied, but that doesn't mean they have to like it. The key for them is staying one step ahead so that they remain at the cutting edge.

This is a challenge.
