Social media marketing is a relatively new medium for internet commerce. But hard-selling on these sites seems such a big turn-off. I’d like to know more about how to draw in clients without actually selling to them and coming off as too pushy. Any tips?
Whoa. You go woman!
Look at her. She’s successful, she’s pretty, she’s young and under 25. If that doesn’t scream INSPIRATION to us right there, then I don’t know what will.
Hi Madeleine
Using social media to hard-sell is worthless. If every post you make is recommending a product or leading to a sales page, you will lose followers and ‘friends’ every time. It is really important to build relationships with these contacts. You need to respond to what they are talking about, and offer free worthwhile information.
This way you can establish yourself as an ‘authority’, so that when you do wish to promote something, they are more likely to consider your recommendation.
Social marketing is big business, and people like Dean Hunt doing it really really well.
