The Search Exchange Conference May 2010

The Belk Theatre in Charlotte, NC will be the host of the 2010 Search Exchange Conference and Expo. Search Exchange is a 3 day internet marketing conference that will feature the top professionals in the industry.

The three day conference is being held from May 17-19th and will consist of keynotes and panel discussions on search engine optimization, social media marketing, pay per click advertising, and web analytics.

Dan Siroker

Dan Siroker recently founded Carrotsticks a startup focused on using technology to help kids learn.

During the presidential transition, Dan was the Deputy New Media Director where he was responsible for strategic planning of the administration’s use of the internet and technology. He led several online initiatives on change.gov including a way for the American people to publicly comment on proposed policy, ask a question, or submit an idea—all of which could be voted on by others and went directly to President Obama and his cabinet.

Prior to working on the presidential transition, Dan led the analytics team for the Obama presidential campaign and served as a senior member of the larger New Media team. He led a team of software engineers and analysts responsible for optimizing the effectiveness of the campaign’s online operations that ended up raising over half a billion dollars, registering over 2 million voters, and enabling 3 million phone calls to be made in the final four days of the campaign.

Before joining the campaign, Dan was a Product Manager for Google Chrome, the open-source web browser from Google. He worked previously as a Product Manager for Google AdWords. Sherman Hu

Sherman’s long years of experience in blogging have made him an expert in the WordPress blogging platform.  He is recognized as the WordPress Guru who thousands of “solopreneurs” and small and medium sized business owners regularly run to for advice and opinion.

He has helped various marketing and promotion websites earn multi-million revenues, and is currently assisting in the marketing and promotions of Fortune 1000 companies.

While he was born and raised in Singapore, Sherman Hu now resides in Canada.

Dan Thies

Dubbed as the “keyword guru”, Dan Thies is an expert in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), who founded the SEO Research Labs in 2003.  The SEO Research Labs provides keyword research services to webmasters, site designers and search engine consultants.

Dan’s knowledge in SEO has him invited to be a regular speaker at Search Engine Strategies conferences conducted by Jupiter Media annually.

In 2006, Dan Thies joined StomperNet, the leading course provider for online marketers, as its Chief eXperience Officer and Dean of Faculty.  At StomperNet, Mr. Thies was responsible for creating the SEO video training course, “Stomping the Search Engines 2.0”.  As SEO coach, he also offers private coaching to those who wish to hone and improve their SEO skills.  He is a member of the executive committee of SEOPros, an organization of SEO professionals and the moderator for High Ranking forums specifically on the keyword research forum. Andy Edmonds

As an expert in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Andy Edmonds makes use of his background in cognitive psychology to understand internet users and their behaviour in the internet, their direct interaction with websites and their profiles and preferences.

Ross Goldberg

Ross Goldberg started his foray in making money online with a mere $1,000 that he received from army rehabilitation as a former soldier.

His initial experience in e-commerce was selling on eBay to augment his family’s income as his wife was expecting another child at the time. What started out as a mere sideline eventually led to a successful internet business that has become his passion.
